BLINCAM How to Video 1

BLINCAM How to Video 2

Basic Operations
Turning the device on Make sure that the BLINCAM is charged sufficiently. To turn it on, press the round button on the side of the device for two seconds.
Pairing Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone. Download and open the BLINCAM app. You only need to establish a pairing the first time that you run the app. After this, the pairing is established automatically.
Turning the device off To turn the device off, press the round button on the side of the BLINCAM for two seconds.
Attachments
(Attaching to glasses + Attachment sizes)
The clip that attaches the device to your glasses is made of rubber and is easy to remove. Change the size of this attachment to fit the size of your glasses. Using the wrong attachment size may cause the device to fall off.
Also, the attachment sizes available may not be suitable if the temples on your glasses are extremely thin. In this case, please use some glasses with thicker temples.
Taking pictures in dark places The BLINCAM is not designed to take pictures in dark places. Make sure to take photos in locations with as much light as possible. Also, the shutter speed is adjusted automatically depending on the light available, so pictures may look blurry if they are taken in dark places. We recommend stopping and staying still while taking a photo.
Auto-sleep The BLINCAM puts itself in sleep mode automatically after it has been inactive for more than three minutes. When you wink, the sleep mode is canceled. A wink that cancels the device’s sleep mode also takes a picture; however, there is always a time lag between the wink and the photo being taken.
Auto-off The BLINCAM turns itself off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. To use the device after 10 minutes have passed, press the power button for two seconds to turn it on.
Try It Out!
Device response The BLINCAM has a wink sensor built-in at the back of the device, which detects the movement of the muscles that run from the corner of the eye to the ear. When you blink naturally, the muscles of your face hardly move at all; however, when you wink, the muscles make a much bigger movement. The BLINCAM sensor detects this type of movement. Hence, when winking, it can be much easier for the BLINCAM to detect the movement if you ensure that the area between the eye and the ear shows a strong movement.
Positioning The BLINCAM cannot detect your winking actions if it is placed on top of the ear. Make sure not to attach the BLINCAM over the ear.
Winking The wink sensor detects the movement of the muscles that run from the corner of the eye to the ear. First, try winking normally. If the BLINCAM does not respond, try winking again by making sure to move the skin and muscles between the corner of the eye and your ear.
As long as your skin moves when you wink, there is no need for you to wink for a long time.
Types of glasses There is no need for the BLINCAM sensor to be in contact with your skin. However, it does need to be placed within 1 centimeter (0.4 in) from your skin. The BLINCAM sensor may not respond if it ends up being far away from your skin, due to the curvature of the temples on your glasses, etc. Try changing to a pair of glasses that allows the BLINCAM to be placed within approximately 1 centimeter (0.4 in) from your face.
Stay still when taking pictures If you are moving while taking a picture, the BLINCAM’s noise canceling functionality may prevent the shutter from being pressed, so try to stay still while taking a photo. Also, we recommend staying still in order to prevent the photos from looking blurred.
Shutter speed The shutter speed changes automatically depending on the amount of light available. Hence, the shutter speed will be slower in dark places, such as indoors, when compared to bright locations, such as outdoors, causing the photos to become blurred. When taking photos, make sure to choose locations with plenty of light.
Brightness adjustment The brightness of the photos is adjusted based on the brightness of the area at the center of the images taken by the camera. If the central area is bright, the overall image becomes bright; and if the central object is dark, the rest of the image looks dark overall.
Taking pictures in dark places Taking pictures in dark places causes the shutter speed to slow down, so either try to stay still or look for bright locations when taking photos.
Focus The BLINCAM is configured to use pan focus, ensuring that the objects that are near and far are all relatively in focus. Hence, there is no need for you to adjust the focus on the device.
Flashing red light A flashing red light indicates an error. Turn the device off and turn it on again.
Cannot turn the device off If pressing the power button for two seconds does not turn off the device, you can force it to shutdown by pressing the reset button. The reset button is located underneath the attachment area. Remove the attachment and push the reset button using a sharp object, such as a needle, etc.
View your photos on a PC You can copy the photos stored inside the BLINCAM memory by connecting the device to a PC using a Micro USB cable. Please use USB 2.0.
The internal BLINCAM memory has 8GB of capacity. Once it is full, it starts to overwrite photos automatically. (It has enough capacity to save thousands of photos.)
FAQ – About the Device
Cannot turn the device off To turn it off, press the round button on the side of the BLINCAM for two seconds. If this still does not turn off the device, remove the black rubber attachment, and use a pin or another slim tool, to push the small button located inside the hole. This forces the device to turn itself off.
Problems with the wink sensor:
No response even when winking
1. Change the position
The BLINCAM has a wink sensor built-in at the back of the device, which detects the movement of the muscles that run from the corner of the eye to the ear. Hence, it cannot detect your winking movements if it is placed on top of the ear. Make sure not to attach the BLINCAM over the ear.2.  Wink by ensuring that you move your cheeks, or by blinking firmly with both eyes
The wink sensor detects the movement of the muscles that run from the corner of the eye to the ear. The BLINCAM does not respond when you are blinking normally, only when you are winking. The reason for this is that winking causes movement of the muscles from the corner of the eye to the ear. If the sensor does not respond to your wink, try moving the area between the corner of the eye and your ear, by closing both eyes firmly, or by winking while lifting your cheeks slightly.3. Avoid walking, or any other movements
When you are moving your body, by walking, etc. the device’s noise canceling functionality is triggered, which can cause your wink to be canceled, preventing the device from taking the photo. Stop for a little while  before taking the photo.4. Restart the device
Press the button on the side of the BLINCAM for two seconds to turn it off, and then turn it on again.
Problems with the wink sensor:
The device responds even when I have not winked
1.  Avoid walking, or any other movements
The device may decide that you have winked and, hence, take a picture, because it has detected movement from your body or glasses, as you move your neck, walk, etc.  Stop for a little while  before taking the photo.2. Restart the device
Press the button on the side of the BLINCAM for two seconds to turn it off, and then turn it on again.
There is a flashing red light A flashing red light indicates an error. Turn the device off, and then turn it on again. Press the round button on the side of the BLINCAM for two seconds to turn it off. If this does not solve the problem, remove the black rubber attachment, and use a pin or another slim tool to push the small button located inside the hole. This forces the device to turn itself off. Then, similarly, press the round button for two seconds to turn it on again.
Cannot attach the BLINCAM The attachment is either too big or too small.
The attachments are available in sizes S, M, and L, all of which are enclosed with the product packaging. Please use the attachment that best fits the thickness of the temples of your glasses.
The attachments available may not be suitable if the temples on your glasses are extremely thin or thick. Please try again using a pair of glasses suitable for the available attachments.
The BLINCAM keeps sliding and falling off Try using an attachment of a different size.
The photos look tilted, or the device has not taken the pictures that I was expecting The BLINCAM is attached to the temples of your glasses, so the angle of the lens may change depending on the design of your glasses or the angle of the temples. Try taking a few sample photos first, and adjust the direction and range of the lens while it is attached to your glasses.

2. If you still cannot establish a pairing, force the app to terminate, and then restart it. Turn off and restart the BLINCAM device as well.
I cannot view my photos Photos can be viewed from the camera roll on your smartphone. You can also use a Micro USB cable to connect to a PC and view photos taken in the past.
I want to recover my deleted photos Photos that have been deleted cannot be viewed on the app. However, if you connect the BLINCAM to a PC using a Micro USB cable, you can view photos even if they have been deleted on the app. These are the photos that have been left in the internal 8GB memory of the BLINCAM device.
